Eight- to ten-year-olds spend lots of time playing with their friends, so this is a good time to 
introduce and share a hobby with your child to help maintain that family connection.  Build a 
model together, furnish and decorate a dollhouse, collect anything!  Side-by-side activity is perfect
for kids who don't like to talk about their day with parents; you may be surprised what your child 
is willing to open up about while you're working on a project together.
