Illusion Ornithopter Kit. Once you have built the Gryphon, you are ready to build a balsa & tissue ornithopter model. The Seabird flies long and slow with its big wings. For this model, you have to bend supplied wire to make the motor crank, measure and cut balsa and tissue covering. Wingspan: 16". Ages 10 up

You can print your own custom wing graphics using an inkjet printer! It's easy to do:

• Tape the tissue onto a sheet of regular paper. You may need to tape all four edges, or just the leading edge, depending on your printer.
• Print your graphics on the tissue.
• Carefully cut out the printed design.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to use the 20 by 6 inch tissue supplied with the kit. You will need three sheets of tissue (sold separately here), each measuring 7.5 by 10 inches. Use one for each wing and one for the tail.
